Current status: In progress
This prototype is currently being developed as part of my master thesis. YOUnite is a project which aims to improve the integration process of refugees in Austria and simultaneously give both locals and refugees the possibility to share and acquire skills. It can be described as voluntary exchange platform where both parties have the possibility to arrange meetings, get in contact with each other, and share their skills and experiences.
In the course of my master thesis, I seek to develop a peer-to-peer review system for this prototype which ensures the trust in the platform and of peers (refugees and locals) in each other, takes intercultural factors for the content and design into account, and simultaneously creates meaningful and reusable value for the users. The prototype consists of a database, a server and a hybrid mobile application developed with the cross-platform development framework Ionic. During the development of this application following technologies were used:
- Database: MySQL
- Server: JavaScript | TypeScript | Node.js | Sequelize
- Application: HTML | CSS | JavaScript | TypeScript | Ionic | Angular
